According to data from Vietnam Electricity Group, at 9:00 am on April 4, in the Northeast region, Tuyen Quang Lake reached 115.05m, lower than the normal water level by 4.95m.
In the Northwest region, the water level of the Da River cascade reservoirs is maintained at a high level: Lai Chau reaches 288.62m (6.38m lower than the normal water level); Ban Chat reaches 431.27m (approximately dead water level); Huoi Quang reaches 369.39m (close to the normal water level of 370m).
Son La Lake reached 212.88m, still more than 2m short of the normal water level.
Hoa Binh Lake reached 115.94m, about 1m lower; Thac Ba Lake reached 53.06m, nearly 5m lower.
In the North Central region, the water levels of Trung Son (154.91m), Khe Bo (64.58m), and Quang Tri (473.99m) lakes are all below the normal water level of 0.4–6m. Ban Ve Lake reached 190.8m, still missing about 9m.
The South Central region recorded many lakes storing water below the normal rise level such as A Vuong (371.66m), Song Bung 2 (597.93m), Song Tranh 2 (170.2m), Song Ba Ha (104.06m), Song Hinh (206.87m).
In the Central Highlands, most reservoirs are a few meters to more than 10m lower than the normal water level, such as Ialy reaching 505.55m (lower than 9.45m), Pleikrông reaching 565.36m (lower than 4.64m), Se San 4 reaching 214.33m (lower than 0.67m).
Some lakes in Dong Nai area such as Dong Nai 3 reach 583.92m; Dong Nai 4 reached 475.53m; Dai Ninh reached 873.36m.
In the Southeast region, Tri An Lake reached 59.77m, lower than the normal water level by more than 2m.
According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, the weather forecast for April 4th, the Northern region tonight and early tomorrow morning will have scattered showers and thunderstorms, locally heavy rain; later there will be light rain in some places. In thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind.
The Southern region in the late afternoon and night has showers and thunderstorms in some places; sunny during the day, especially the East has hot sun.
