Hydropower reservoirs across the country are lower or closer to the normal water level, many reservoirs continue to generate regulated electricity with discharge flow through the plant.

According to data from Vietnam Electricity Group, at 1:30 PM on April 1st, in the Northeast region, Tuyen Quang Lake reached an altitude of 115.18 m, nearly 5 m lower than the normal water level.

The water flow to the reservoir reached 126 m3/s and was regulated for power generation with a discharge flow of 120.58 m3/s.

In the Northwest, large reservoirs continue to maintain low water levels. Lai Chau Lake reached 290.01 m; Ban Chat at 431.08 m, close to the dead water level; Huoi Quang reached 369.35 m.

The two reservoirs of Son La and Hoa Binh still maintain power generation, with discharge flows of 183 m3/s and 361 m3/s respectively, while the water flow to Hoa Binh reservoir is quite high, reaching 933 m3/s.

Thac Ba Lake is also lower than the normal water level by more than 4 m and has not been discharged for regulation.

In the North Central region, Trung Son reservoir discharges 80 m3/s of electricity; Khe Bo discharges 169.5 m3/s, while Ban Ve and Quang Tri have not discharged due to low water flow to the reservoir.

The South Central Coast region recorded many reservoirs operating for electricity generation with moderate flow rates such as A Vuong discharging 35.2 m3/s; Song Bung 4 discharging 44 m3/s; Vinh Son A discharging 9.72 m3/s; Song Hinh discharging 53.28 m3/s. The remaining reservoirs have basically not been discharged.

In the Central Highlands, some reservoirs have remarkable discharge flows such as Pleikrông discharging 105 m3/s, Sê San 4 discharging 185 m3/s, Thượng Kon Tum discharging a total of 32.18 m3/s. An Khê reservoir discharges 30 m3/s through spillways and opens a surface discharge gate.

In the Southeast region, Tri An reservoir reached a water level of 60.11 m; inflow to the reservoir 140 m3/s and is discharging 109 m3/s for power generation.

According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, the weather forecast for April 1st, due to the impact of cold air, the Northern region in the evening and tonight will have scattered showers and thunderstorms, locally heavy rain; tomorrow there will be light rain in some places, sunny in the afternoon.

The highest temperature in the delta is commonly 26 - 29 degrees C, in some places above 29 degrees C; especially in the Northwest, the highest is 30 - 33 degrees C, in some places above 35 degrees C.

The Southern region will have showers and thunderstorms in some places in the evening and at night; sunny during the day, hot in some places, especially the East will be hot during the day.
