Hydropower reservoirs across the country are still lower than the normal water level, and many reservoirs are maintaining power generation to meet system electricity demand.

According to data from Vietnam Electricity Group, at 1:30 PM on March 31, the Northern region recorded increased water flow to reservoirs at large projects on the Da River.

Hoa Binh Lake reached an altitude of 115.92m, lower than the normal water level by more than 1m, the water inflow to the lake reached 1,149 m3/s - the highest in the country today; total discharge and power generation flow of 577 m3/s.

Son La Lake is at 213.97m, water recedes at 553 m3/s, and is generating electricity with a discharge flow of 256 m3/s. Lai Chau Lake reaches 291.01m, discharging 445 m3/s for power generation.

Meanwhile, some reservoirs in the Northwest region such as Ban Chat, Huoi Quang and Thac Ba have low water inflow, have not generated electricity or have not discharged water.

In the Northeast region, Tuyen Quang reservoir is at an altitude of 115.25m, nearly 5m lower than the normal water level, and is generating electricity with a discharge flow of 120.74 m3/s.

In the North Central and Central regions, most reservoirs are in the water storage phase. Trung Son Lake discharges 80 m3/s, Khe Bo Lake discharges 95.5 m3/s, while many other reservoirs do not yet have to discharge water.

In the South Central region, some lakes maintain electricity generation such as A Vuong (29 m³/s), Song Bung 4 (51 m³/s), Song Hinh (52.52 m³/s). The remaining lakes are basically not discharged yet.

In the Central Highlands, the reservoir group on the Se San and Srepok river systems operates power generation with large discharge flows. Se San 3 discharges 352 m3/s, Se San 4 discharges 160 m3/s, Se San 3A discharges 156 m3/s, Ialy discharges 69 m3/s. Some other reservoirs have not yet discharged water.

In the Southeast region, Tri An reservoir reached 60.23m, nearly 2m lower than the normal water level and has not been discharged.

According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, the weather forecast for March 31st, the Northern Delta region will be hot with the highest temperature commonly 35 - 36 degrees C, with some places above 36 degrees C.

The Southern region will have showers and thunderstorms in some places at night, sunny during the day, with hot sun in some places; especially the East will be hot during the day.
