According to data from Vietnam Electricity Group, at 8:00 am on May 26, Hoa Binh reservoir had an upstream water level of 104.57m, 12.43m lower than the normal water level of 117m. Total discharge through the plant was at 2,780m3/s.
Son La Hydropower Reservoir has an upstream water level of 196.52m, nearly 18.5m lower than the normal water level. Inflow to the reservoir reached 1,086m3/s, total discharge volume 823m3/s.
At Lai Chau Hydropower Reservoir, the reservoir water level reached 289.14m, the inflow rate was 238m3/s and the total discharge rate was 415m3/s.
Huoi Quang Hydropower Reservoir is currently at 368.92m, only less than 1m higher than the dead water level of 368m. Meanwhile, Ban Chat Hydropower Reservoir reaches an altitude of 440.82m, and has not generated water discharge.
In the Northeast region, Tuyen Quang Hydropower Reservoir has an upstream water level of 106.06m, water inflow to the reservoir reaches 219m3/s, total discharge volume is more than 711m3/s.
At the same time, the Thac Ba Hydropower reservoir recorded an upstream water level of 50.75m, the water inflow to the reservoir reached 83m3/s and the total discharge was more than 289m3/s.
According to the forecast of the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, on May 26, the Northern Delta region, Phu Tho and from Thanh Hoa to Hue City will have intense and especially intense heat with the highest temperature commonly 38 - 40 degrees C, with some places above 40 degrees C.
Other places in the North (except Dien Bien and Lai Chau), Da Nang city and eastern provinces from Quang Ngai to Lam Dong have hot and intense heat, especially intense in some places with the highest temperature commonly 36 - 38 degrees C, in some places above 40 degrees C.
