According to data from Vietnam Electricity Group, at 2:30 PM on April 28, in the Northeast region, the lake water level at Tuyen Quang Hydropower Plant reached 110.3m, nearly 10m lower than the normal water level. The water flow to the lake reached 79 m3/s, the total discharge through the plant was 263.31 m3/s.
In the Northwest region, many large reservoirs continue to generate electricity with significant flow. The water level at Son La Hydropower Plant reached 206.41m, the inflow to the reservoir was 506 m3/s, and 399 m3/s is being discharged through the plant.
Hoa Binh Hydropower Plant reservoir has a water level of 109.41m, a flow rate of 1,697 m3/s, discharging 513 m3/s for power generation.
Other terraced lakes on the Da River still have lower water levels than normal water levels, including Lai Chau Hydropower Plant reaching 291.17m; Ban Chat Hydropower Plant reaching 432.6m; Huoi Quang Hydropower Plant reaching 369.71m. These lakes have low inflow and do not need to regulate discharge.
In the Chay River basin, Thac Ba Hydropower Plant recorded a water level of 51.44m, a flow rate of 72 m3/s, and no water discharge has been generated.
According to the forecast of the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, on April 28, the Northern region will be sunny during the day, especially the Northwest region will have localized hot sun. The highest temperature is commonly 30 - 33 degrees C, especially the Northwest region has places above 35 degrees C.
