Hydropower reservoirs in the Central - Central Highlands region continue to be lower than the normal water level, operating stably, and not discharging floodwater through spillways.

According to data from Vietnam Electricity Group, at 2:00 PM on July 3, in the North Central region, Trung Son Lake had a water level of 158.69m, only about 1.3m lower than the normal water level of 160m. Ban Ve Lake reached 170.98m, 29m lower than the normal water level. Khe Bo Lake had a water level of 64.26m, about 0.74m lower than the normal water level of 65m, while Quang Tri Lake reached 460.16m, nearly 20m lower than the normal water level.

In the South Central Coast, many lakes are still quite far from the normal water level. A Vuong Lake reached 357.23m, nearly 23m lower; Song Bung 2 Lake reached 583.41m, more than 21m lower; Song Bung 4 Lake reached 210.57m, nearly 12m lower. Song Tranh 2 Lake has a water level of 156m, 19m lower than the normal water level.

Meanwhile, Vinh Son A, Vinh Son B and Vinh Son C reservoirs have water levels of 767.54m, 818.37m and 972.12m respectively, all lower than the normal water level by about 7-9m. Song Ba Ha reservoir reached 102.41m, about 2.6m lower than the normal water level, while Song Hinh reservoir reached 202.77m, 6m lower.

In the Central Highlands, many lakes continue to maintain water levels below the design threshold. Thuong Kon Tum Lake reached 1,144.24m, nearly 16m lower than the normal water level; Pleikrông Lake reached 544.25m, nearly 26m lower; Ialy Lake reached 490.29m, only about 0.3m higher than the dead water level.

Notably, some reservoirs have water levels approaching normal water levels such as Se San 3 reaching 303.48m, about 1m lower; Se San 3A reaching 238.66m, 0.34m lower; Srepok 3 reaching 271.69m, 0.31m lower; An Khe reaching 428.44m, about 0.56m lower and Da Mi reaching 324.03m, only about 1m lower.

According to the forecast of the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, on July 3, the Northern region tonight and tomorrow will have scattered showers and thunderstorms, with locally heavy rain. From tomorrow night, the Northeast region and Thanh Hoa will have moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms, with locally very heavy rain.

The Southern region has showers and thunderstorms in some places; in the afternoon and night there is moderate rain and scattered thunderstorms, locally heavy to very heavy rain.
