Water levels at hydropower reservoirs nationwide on July 1 are generally stable, many reservoirs in the Northern region have high water inflows, while most reservoirs have not had to discharge overflows.

In the Northern region, Hoa Binh reservoir recorded the largest inflow of water in the country with 4,034 m3/s. The upstream water level reached 100.96 m, 117 m lower than the normal water level. The plant is generating electricity with a discharge flow of 2,067 m3/s, not discharging through the spillway.

Son La Lake has a water inflow of 3,675 m3/s, the total discharge through the plant reached 3,257 m3/s. Tuyen Quang Lake welcomed 2,527 m3/s of water inflow, the total discharge was 697.11 m3/s. Lai Chau Lake recorded a water inflow of 1,511 m3/s, the total discharge was 1,601 m3/s. Meanwhile, Ban Chat, Huoi Quang and Thac Ba reservoirs did not discharge water.

In the North Central region, Trung Son Lake has a water flow of 341 m3/s but has not been discharged. Khe Bo Lake generates electricity with a discharge flow of 219.6 m3/s. Ban Ve and Quang Tri reservoirs continue to operate normally, without overflowing.

In the South Central region, most reservoirs have low water inflow and do not discharge. Some reservoirs such as A Vuong, Song Bung 4, Vinh Son A, Song Hinh still maintain power generation with low flow, without opening discharge gates.

In the Central Highlands, most reservoirs continue to operate stably. An Khe Lake is the only project to open 1 surface discharge gate with a flow rate of 30 m3/s. Buon Kuop Lake opens 1 deep discharge gate, discharging 15.32 m3/s through the dam. Dong Nai 3, Dong Nai 4 and Don Duong reservoirs generate electricity according to procedures, without overflowing.

In the Southeast region, Tri An reservoir has a water flow of 550 m3/s, total discharge volume of 543 m3/s, all through the power plant, without opening overflow gates.

According to the forecast of the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, on July 1st, the mountainous and midland areas of the Northern region, Quang Ninh and Hai Phong city will have moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms.
