In the Northeast region, Tuyen Quang reservoir has an upstream water level of 108.8m, which is 11.2m lower than the normal water level. The water flow to the reservoir reaches 1,725m3/s, the total discharge flow is 1,223.24m3/s, of which discharge through the spillway is 524m3/s and through the plant is 699.24m3/s. The reservoir currently maintains a deep discharge gate under a regulation order from the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment.
In the Northwest region, the water flow to large reservoirs continues to be high. Hoa Binh Lake has the largest water flow in the country, reaching 3,747m3/s, is generating electricity with a total discharge flow of 2,750m3/s. Son La Lake receives 2,390m3/s of water and discharges 3,023m3/s through the plant. Lai Chau Lake has a flow of 1,269m3/s, a total discharge flow of 820m3/s. Ban Chat, Huoi Quang and Thac Ba reservoirs all do not discharge through spillways.
In the North Central region, Trung Son, Ban Ve and Quang Tri reservoirs do not implement regulated discharge. Khe Bo reservoir alone generates electricity with a discharge flow of 221.8m3/s through the plant.
In the South Central region, the water flow to the reservoir is low. Song Ba Ha reservoir discharges 120m3/s, Song Bung 4 reservoir discharges 49m3/s, A Vuong reservoir discharges 28m3/s, mainly serving power generation, not discharging through spillways.
In the Central Highlands, most reservoirs still maintain water levels below normal water levels. Se San 3 reservoir discharges 241m3/s through the plant, Ialy discharges 42m3/s, Don Duong discharges 37.3m3/s. Buon Kuop reservoir is discharging 15.29m3/s through the spillway and opening a deep discharge gate.
In the Southeast region, Tri An Lake has an upstream water level of 52.38m, the water inflow to the lake reaches 350m3/s and the total power generation through the plant is 544m3/s.
