According to the Southern Hydrometeorological Station, the weather pattern forecast for the next 24-48 hours, the low pressure trough with axis of about 19-22 degrees North latitude is weakly operating and tends to gradually move southward. Around September 9, the low pressure trough will have its axis through the South Central Coast and the middle of the East Sea, then gradually become stronger, forming a tropical convergence zone (ITCZ).
On the trophic convergence zone, there is a possibility of forming a tropical cyclone in the East Sea. Southwest monsoon has average intensity; wind convergence is weak, then tends to strengthen.
Weather pattern forecast for the next 3-10 days, the intertropical convergence zone tends to gradually move southward and become stronger. At the same time, a tropical cyclone is likely to form in the intertropical convergence zone in the East Sea. The Southwest monsoon maintains intensity from medium to strong, wind convergence is good.
Due to the impact of the above weather patterns, from the night of September 9 to the day of September 12, Southern Vietnam is likely to experience moderate rain, heavy to very heavy rain and thunderstorms. Total rainfall is commonly 150-250 mm, in some places over 250 mm.
The meteorological agency warns of the risk of flooding in low-lying areas, urban areas, industrial parks, riverside areas, and canals. In thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind.
