In the next 24-48 hours, the cold air mass from the continent will continue to strengthen southward and then maintain a stable intensity. Northeast winds blow strongly over the sea area in the Southeast region. Above, the subtropical high pressure with its axis passing through the Central region is operating stably.
In the period from 3-10 days, cold air tends to shift to the East and gradually weaken. Around January 11-12, this cold air mass will be strengthened again in an Eastward direction, then stabilize.
Northeast winds are still strong in the sea area in the Southeast region. Above, subtropical high pressure is maintained stably; by about January 13, the high pressure axis will descend to the South, go across the South Central Coast, and then gradually rise to the North.
Due to the impact of the above weather patterns, the Southern region continues to have dry weather, reduced air humidity, increasing the risk of fires and explosions. Some days, the weather is chilly at night and early morning; sunny during the day, which may affect people's health.
The lowest temperature is commonly from 21-24 degrees Celsius, in some places below 21 degrees Celsius. Some weather forecast applications show that tomorrow (January 9), the temperature may drop to 16-17 degrees Celsius.
Regarding high tides, the water level at most stations on the Saigon River is forecast to recede slowly in the next 1-2 days, then decrease rapidly. The highest tide peak of the day will still remain above alarm level II until the end of January 9-10.
Warning, when strong Northeast winds combine with high tides, the risk of flooding may occur in low-lying areas, riverside areas in Ho Chi Minh City, affecting traffic and socio-economic activities.
