The victim is Nguyen Hoang Nam (born May 28, 2014), residing in Tan Thanh village, Phu Thai commune, a 6C grade student at Kim Anh Secondary School.
According to initial information from the family, in the morning of the same day, because there was no school schedule, Nam stayed at home with his grandparents. At about 8 am, he took his bicycle and left the house, but relatives did not know where he went.
After that, Nam and a group of classmates, all residing in Phu Thai commune, invited each other to swim in the An Thanh river area. At about 10 am on the same day, while swimming in the river, Nam unfortunately drowned.
Immediately upon receiving the news, the crime prevention and control team of Phu Thai Commune Police urgently coordinated with the Hai Duong 116 search and rescue team and people in Quang Dat village area, An Thanh commune to organize the search for the victim.
At about 2:40 pm on the same day, functional forces found the body of Nguyen Hoang Nam and carried out procedures to hand over to the family for funeral arrangements according to regulations.
Currently, Phu Thai Commune Police are continuing to coordinate with functional agencies to complete the dossier and clarify the case according to legal regulations.
Immediately after grasping the information, representatives of the Party Committee, Phu Thai Commune People's Committee and agencies, units, departments, branches, and local unions came to visit, encourage, share condolences and support the victim's family to overcome the loss.
Talking to Lao Dong Newspaper, leaders of Phu Thai commune said: "The locality is closely coordinating with functional forces to support the family, initially helping relatives stabilize their spirits, take care of the funeral for the child; and will continue to organize visits and encourage the family in the coming time.
