On the afternoon of July 6, Chau Son Commune People's Committee (Lang Son province) said that functional forces had found the body of Mr. V.V.T. (21 years old, residing in Dan village, Van Son commune, Bac Ninh province), the victim who drowned while fishing at Khe Bo lake.
The body was found more than 10m away from the location where the boat capsized.
Previously, at about 1:45 pm on July 5, Mr. T. went fishing at Khe Bo Lake. When the boat reached the middle of the lake, it suddenly capsized, causing Mr. T. to fall into the water and go missing.
Immediately after receiving the news, functional forces and groups of divers from Quang Ninh and Thai Nguyen were mobilized to the scene to search.
Search work faced many difficulties because Khe Bo lake is about 5 hectares wide, with a water depth of 7 - 8 m. Forces had to survey many areas around the location of the capsized boat, and at the same time expand the search scope in conditions where victims are submerged underwater.
After the incident, functional forces advised people to be cautious when fishing, rowing boats or participating in activities on rivers, lakes, and deep-water ponds. When using boats and rafts, they need to wear life jackets, not go alone and limit moving to deep water areas when safety conditions are not ensured.
