Information from the commander of the Road Traffic Police Team No. 7 - Traffic Police Department, Hanoi City Police - said that at around 7:10 p.m. on July 12, on Tran Phu Street (in front of house number 195, Ha Dong Ward, Hanoi City), a traffic accident occurred between a motorbike and a bus, killing one person.
At that time, Ms. Nguyen Thi Q. (22 years old, from Thanh Hoa) was driving a motorbike, carrying behind her Ms. Nguyen Thi H. (22 years old, from the same hometown), traveling on Tran Phu Street towards Khuat Duy Tien Street. When arriving at the above location, the two people's motorbike suddenly collided with another motorbike traveling in the same direction (identity unknown), causing both of them to fall onto the road.
At this time, an orange passenger car (license plate and driver unknown) traveling in the same direction on the left overtook Ms. H., causing the victim to die on the spot. Ms. Q. was injured in the hand. After the accident, both vehicles involved left the scene. The incident caused local traffic congestion in the area.
Immediately after receiving the report, Road Traffic Police Team No. 7 sent officers to the scene to coordinate with functional forces to take the victim to the emergency room, and at the same time divert traffic, examine the scene and conduct investigation procedures.
The case is currently being further investigated and clarified by the authorities.
