On July 10, Lao Dong Newspaper reporters recorded the reality of the Long Thanh airport project site (Long Thanh commune, Dong Nai province), component projects and packages are being simultaneously implemented, taking advantage of the weather during the sunny days (Dong Nai is currently in the rainy season) to speed up progress.
According to the representative of Vietnam Airports Corporation (ACV), despite facing many challenges, at the current construction site, the units are still maintaining the construction progress with hundreds of deployment teams, mobilizing nearly 13,000 experts, engineers, workers, laborers and nearly 3,000 construction equipment to speed up the progress with the goal of basically completing the project by the end of 2025, putting it into operation and commercial exploitation in the first half of 2026 in accordance with the Prime Minister's request.
The Long Thanh airport project consists of 4 component projects. In particular, for component project 1 (headquarters of state management agencies), the construction of airports headquarters, customs headquarters, immigration management headquarters and local police headquarters have all been started.

On June 18, the Government Office announced the Conclusion of Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha at the meeting to deploy the investment project to build Long Thanh International Airport Phase 1. Accordingly, for component project 1, the Ministers of the Ministries are the projects' investment management agencies and the Chairman of the Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee is responsible for implementing the headquarters of state management agencies to ensure completion progress before December 31, 2025. The Ministry of Construction coordinates with the Ministries and People's Committees of Dong Nai province to review the implementation of bidding packages to ensure completion progress ( note that the headquarters works of animal and plant quarantine stations have started construction slowly).
