On February 16, the People's Committee of Quang Loc commune (Ba Don town, Quang Binh province) said that the authorities had just promptly prevented a suicide at Quang Hai bridge.
At 4:48 p.m. on February 15, Quang Loc Commune Police received a report from local residents about a man who intended to commit suicide by jumping off Quang Hai Bridge.
Immediately afterwards, Quang Loc Commune Police coordinated with Quang Hai Commune Police to quickly deploy forces, promptly detect and bring this man to safety.
According to information from the People's Committee of Quang Loc commune, the person who intended to jump from the bridge was Mr. H.D.D (born in 1986, from Tuy Phuoc district, Binh Dinh province), with a wife in Quang Son commune, Ba Don town.
Mr. D said that he came from his hometown to visit his wife and children but had a family conflict. In the afternoon, due to psychological instability, Mr. D went to Quang Hai bridge with the intention of committing suicide.
Thanks to the timely detection of the people and the quick intervention of the authorities, Mr. D was mobilized, taken to the Quang Loc Commune Police headquarters safely and handed over to his family for further monitoring and psychological support.
