On the afternoon of September 13, information from Hai Phong City Police said that at around 12:00 on September 12, while crossing Hiep bridge (in Hong Chau commune, Hai Phong city), Mr. Vu Dinh Kien (born in 1990, residing in Tran Phu commune, Hai Phong city) was a driving teacher and discovered a woman climbing over the bridge railing, planning to commit suicide. Immediately afterwards, Mr. Kien quickly stopped the car, coordinated with the people to pull the victim up safely and then took him to the Hong Chau Commune Police headquarters for care and stabilization.
At the headquarters, the Commune Police force directly encouraged, advised, persistently talked, and helped the woman stabilize her psychology. After being shared and explained, she calmed down and promised to give up her wild intentions. Through verification, her name was N.T.H.T. (born in 1994, permanent residence in Minh Tho commune, Hung Yen province). Ms. T said that due to the stalemate and mental instability, she had the idea of getting lost and walking to Hiep Bridge with the intention of committing suicide.
At around 2:00 p.m. the same day, after being enthusiastically encouraged by Hong Chau Commune Police, Ms. T gradually stabilized her psychology. Her family was also present at the headquarters to encourage and take her home.
