Bustling working atmosphere during Tet
At the intersection through Phu Thuy commune (Le Thuy district, Quang Binh province), part of the Van Ninh - Cam Lo expressway project, the construction atmosphere is still bustling in the days before and during the Lunar New Year 2025. The team of engineers and workers of Truong Thinh Group focused on pouring soil, leveling the ground, and rolling to keep up with the schedule.
Nguyen Duc Luc, a machine operator, shared that everyone wants to go home to reunite with their families during Tet. However, due to the nature of their work, workers accept to celebrate Tet right at the construction site. This is not the first time, many years ago, engineers and workers also worked through Tet to ensure project progress.
To encourage workers, the construction unit arranged better meals, organized visits, gave gifts and created conditions for workers to rest properly.
"We always encourage each other to try our best to complete the work on schedule," said Mr. Luc.
According to Mr. Nguyen Anh Duc, Commander of Construction Package 01, fulfilling the commitment to the investor and responding to the emulation movement "Construction through Tet" of the Ministry of Transport, the company has arranged workers to work continuously before and during Tet.
Important construction items such as embankment, crushed stone grading, and asphalt pavement were all deployed simultaneously. To ensure progress, the units mobilized a total of 400 locomotives and equipment along with 600 engineers, workers, operators, and operators, working in a "3-shift, 4-team" manner.
Mr. Duc said that the unit has been working hard and continuously during Tet to ensure completion on schedule. All unfinished items have been accelerated, not allowing the Tet holiday to affect the overall progress.
Clean surface, convenient for construction
According to Mr. Luu Tuan Tuan, Project Management Specialist of Project Management Department 4 (Ho Chi Minh Road Project Management Board), construction during Tet is part of the plan to accelerate production in the Spring of At Ty 2025 of the Ministry of Transport.
"Despite the Tet holiday, the units still maintain simultaneous construction at the site. The goal is to complete the project on schedule by April 30, 2025, according to the Government's direction," said Mr. Tuan.
A major advantage of the project is that 10 days before Tet, the last households in Phu Cuong village, Phu Thuy commune had relocated to hand over the site. Thanks to that, the construction progress was accelerated, without any problems in site clearance.
The Van Ninh - Cam Lo component project, the section passing through Quang Binh, is following the set schedule. Contractors are committed to speeding up the progress while still strictly ensuring technical standards and labor safety.
Some units let workers rest on the first and second day of Tet, then continue construction as usual.
With a high sense of responsibility, determination of workers and engineers and close direction of the Ministry of Transport, the North-South expressway project through Quang Binh is gradually reaching the finish line, making an important contribution to the development of national transport infrastructure.
