Fishermen missing after fishing boat sinks by waves in Quang Tri

    Quang Tri - A fisherman residing in Ben Hai commune went missing after his boat was sunk by waves about 100m from the coast.

    On January 2nd, the Cua Viet Port Border Guard Station (Quang Tri Border Guard) informed that the unit is deploying forces to search for a fisherman missing at sea.

    Previously, at 6:30 am on the same day, the Cua Viet Port Border Guard Station received a report that Mr. Phan Van Hung (born 1960, residing in Ha Loi Trung village, Ben Hai commune, Quang Tri province) used a boat under 6m long to go to the coastal area of Ha Loi Trung village to fish when it was sunk by waves and is currently missing.

    Immediately after receiving the information, the Cua Viet Port Border Guard Station sent 2 teams with 10 officers and soldiers to coordinate with local authorities and forces in the area to deploy boat pulling ashore, and at the same time organize patrols along the coast to search for victims.

    Search work is still being urgently deployed by the forces.
