Hanoi - With iHanoi, traffic violators can look up, confirm and pay remote fines completely online, without going to the police agency.

Implementing administrative reform and digital transformation, Hanoi City Police has deployed comprehensive administrative violation handling in the field of road traffic order and safety (TTATGT) on the electronic environment through the iHanoi application.

Accordingly, from December 13, 2025, the Hanoi Traffic Control Center officially went into operation. The Center's AI analysis server system is synchronously connected to the road motor vehicle management system and the National Population Database.

Thanks to that, the Traffic Police force can detect, identify vehicle owners and handle traffic safety violations completely on the electronic environment.

For violations of road traffic safety and order detected through the AI camera system, people can choose one of the following two forms of handling violations:

First, go directly to the headquarters of the Traffic Police Teams to work.

Second, handle online on the electronic environment through the iHanoi application, without going to the police agency.

Regarding the process of handling traffic safety violations through the iHanoi application, the Traffic Command and Traffic Light Control Team (Traffic Police Department - Hanoi City Police) specifically guides the implementation steps as follows:

Step 1: Notice of violation

After detecting violations, the system will send information and images of violations to vehicle owners through the iHanoi application.

Step 2: Look up violation information

People access the iHanoi application, go to the "Traffic - Notice of cold fines" section to see detailed information and images of traffic safety violations.

In case people do not agree with the information and images of violations: people can come directly to the Police agency to check and compare again.

In case of agreeing to the information and images of violations: people confirm complete violations on the system.

Step 3: Make and sign a record of administrative violation

Based on the confirmation of the violator, the police agency made a record of administrative violation and sent it back to the violator on iHanoi.

The violator checks, compares information, signs the number on the record and sends it back on the system.

Step 4: Receive the penalty decision

Based on the confirmed minutes, the police agency issued a decision to sanction administrative violations and sent them to the violator via the iHanoi application.

Step 5: Pay online

Violators check information (individuals, violations, penalties...) and pay fines through QR codes integrated on the system.

Step 6: Complete violation handling

After successful payment, the system displays the fine payment receipt and automatically sends it to the police agency.

Functional agencies inspect and confirm that the violator has complied with the penalty decision; at the same time:

Issuing a decision to return exhibits and vehicles (if any);

Removing registration notices for cars.

The entire process is carried out in accordance with the provisions of the Law on Handling of Administrative Violations.

Handling comprehensive administrative violations in the field of road traffic order and safety on the iHanoi application is an important step in digital transformation and administrative reform.

People do not have to go directly to the police station, reducing travel time and costs incurred, and at the same time contributing to transparency and simplification of procedures in handling traffic safety violations.
