The functional forces of the whole city of Hanoi are carrying out a peak of 60 days and nights of general review and cleaning of vehicle registration and driving license data. This is an important step in the process of building citizens of the Digital Capital, ensuring that all information about vehicles and drivers is correct - complete - clean - alive, serving management and providing online public services.
In wards and communes in the city, the Hanoi Traffic Police Department and commune-level police have sent police teams to residential groups to guide people to declare data, supporting day and night, even on weekends.
This cleaning is to clearly identify identified vehicles or vehicles in use that have not changed ownership, thereby limiting disputes, especially in accidents or traffic violations.

Mr. Pham Tien Dat (born in 1995, in Giang Vo) shared that he has two motorbikes, one of which has an identification license plate. The other one was left by relatives and is currently being used by his mother. Mr. Dat declared the information on the iHanoi application to complete the name change procedure.
Before, when I bought a used car, I thought I could only use a sales certificate. When decorating the data, I found it convenient, if I accidentally lost the original documents, the data saved on the system would help re-do it very quickly, said Mr. Dat.
Ms. Do Bich Thuy (born in 1984, Ngoc Ha ward) recounted that nearly 5 years ago, she lost her Honda motorbike with a Hanoi license plate. Through declaration on the application, she had selected the stolen vehicle.
"I hope that someone who is using this vehicle will coordinate to provide information to clean up data, avoiding legal trouble if unfortunately related to an accident or a case," she expressed.

According to Lieutenant Colonel Pham Ngoc Thanh - Captain of the Road Motor Vehicle Registration and Management Team (Hanoi Traffic Police Department), before implementing the plan, the Team Command had clearly grasped the purpose and requirements for each officer and soldier.
In particular, the key task is to build a Vehicle Database and a Driver's License Database to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness; synchronously connecting with the National Data Center.
The unit also clearly assigned responsibilities to each collective and individual in reviewing, updating, digitizing records, attaching driver identification codes, ensuring progress according to regulations.
In order to create the spread of the plan, the Hanoi Traffic Police Department has coordinated with units to promote propaganda in newspapers, television, Zalo, City Police fanpage; broadcast at intersections, communes and wards; display instructions on LED screens at shopping malls... helping people proactively declare vehicle information and driving licenses on the iHanoi application platform.

In reality, reviewing also helps determine cases of sold vehicles but not yet transferred, vehicles not used, or incorrect data that has not been updated.
According to the Hanoi Traffic Police Department, cleaning data helps prevent fraud and fake records, while protecting people's rights in registration procedures, name changes, and performing online public services.
People can compare and check vehicle information via the VNeID, VNeTraffic or the Ministry of Public Security's Public Service Portal to promptly correct errors and avoid legal liability.
According to statistics as of the afternoon of November 28, 2,421,411 vehicle and driving license data were sent by people to the iHanoi application, including 612,589 driver's license data and 1,808,822 vehicle data.
Cleaning data not only protects legal ownership, eliminates risks when the vehicle has been sold but not transferred or the vehicle is being used by others, but also helps limit disputes, especially in accidents, traffic violations or cases of investigation.
This is an important foundation for building Digital Capital Citizens, towards modern, transparent and convenient management for all people.
