According to Lao Dong reporters at Binh Trieu 1 bridge area (from Xo Viet Nghe Tinh street to Binh Loi bridge rotation), from around 5pm, thousands of vehicles jostled and inched slowly to move across the bridge. At nearly 7pm, the congestion became even more serious.

It is worth mentioning that from around 4:30 p.m., many areas in Ho Chi Minh City will have heavy rain, making it more difficult for people to move, tired due to both heavy rain and traffic jams.

Mr. Phung Chi Dung (27 years old, living in Binh Quoi ward) shared that on normal days, it took him more than 30 minutes to get home because the road from work to residence was often congested, especially in Xo Viet Nghe Tinh. However, in recent days, the situation has become more serious, sometimes it took him more than an hour to complete this distance.
"Every day we are crowded between traffic jams, it is really tiring. It is time-consuming and prone to collisions, sometimes I just hope for a solution to reduce this congestion, Mr. Dung expressed.

Meanwhile, it is noted that on the Binh Trieu 2 bridge side, traffic is more open.
At the same time, in the Binh Loi bridge area (HCMC), traffic congestion became complicated after the entrance to Pham Van Dong roundabout - National Highway 13 was temporarily closed. This change has caused many people on the road to be confused, not knowing the route, and being forced to go around quite a long distance.

According to regulations, vehicles must move to the intersection of Pham Van Dong Street - Road 20 to be allowed to turn around to return to Binh Thanh. However, many people who had just left the bridge turned around and drove in the opposite direction, creating chaos, even almost colliding with each other.

The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Construction said that the Pham Van Dong - National Highway 13 roundabout area is often overloaded due to the number of vehicles pouring in from many directions, while the density of intersections is high.
In this situation, the traffic police force has proposed temporarily closing the right turn from Binh Loi bridge to the roundabout to regulate traffic. This solution forces people to take a detour but contributes to significantly reducing traffic congestion.

The replacement route is instructed: Pham Van Dong - the overpass over National Highway 13 - turns around at the intersection of Road No. 20 - Pham Van Dong - National Highway 13.
Notably, at the same time, Binh Trieu 1 Bridge is in the process of raising the clearance and construction, causing congestion in the area that often occurs.
