The Management Board of Son La Industrial Parks has granted a Decision approving the investment policy and approving the investor of the Son La Cascara Instant Coffee Factory Project to Cascara Son La Coffee Joint Stock Company on October 13.
The project is implemented at lot CN5 (SKK 27), Mai Son Industrial Park, Chieng Mung commune, Mai Son district, with a total investment of more than 103 billion VND, with a scale of 14,086m2. The factory has a designed capacity of 200 tons of Instant Cascara tea/year, 500 tons of ground Cascara coffee/year, 3,000 tons of Cascara (dried Cascara peel)/year and 300 tons of ground roasted coffee/year.
This is the 12th project approved for implementation in Mai Son Industrial Park, and is expected to create jobs for more than 300 local workers and expand output for thousands of coffee growers in the province.
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Cong, Vice Chairman of Son La Provincial People's Committee affirmed that the project is in line with the province's industrial development orientation, contributing to increasing the value of Son La coffee products, creating jobs, increasing budget revenue and promoting the local economy.
Son La province is committed to accompanying businesses, assigning the Industrial Park Management Board to coordinate in supporting and removing difficulties in procedures so that the project can be implemented soon and put into effective operation.

Mr. Tran Xuan Hiep, Chairman of Chieng Mung Commune People's Committee, said: "We really hope that when the factory is deployed and completed and put into operation soon, it will create stable jobs for people, especially local youth. At the same time, this is also an opportunity to enhance the value of coffee - the main crop of the region".
People of Chieng Mung commune also expressed their excitement. Mr. Quang Van Luan, Phat village, shared: "For a long time, people have been looking forward to having a coffee factory near the locality to have more jobs. If recruited, I want to work as an operator, both close to home and having a stable income."
Mr. Lo Van Son, a coffee grower for many years in Tam Quynh village, Chieng An commune, hopes: "When the factory is in operation, we farmers' fruit coffee will be easier to consume, without having to wait for traders. Stable selling prices help people feel secure in expanding their coffee growing area".

The representative of Cascara Son La Coffee Joint Stock Company pledged to implement the project on schedule, ensuring quality and socio-economic efficiency, while complying with regulations on environment, labor safety and obligations to the State. The project is expected to be completed and officially put into operation in the first quarter of 2027.
