On July 9, information from Thanh Hoa Provincial Police said that Thieu Hoa Commune Police had just coordinated with the forest ranger force to receive and release into the natural environment a endangered, precious, and rare wild bird voluntarily handed over by people.
Previously, through propaganda and dissemination of laws on wildlife protection, Mr. Hoang Ngoc Tuan (born 1979, residing in Thieu Phu village, Thieu Hoa commune, Thanh Hoa province) discovered a bird with eagle-like characteristics flying into his family's garden area.
Realizing that this could be a wild animal protected by law, Mr. Tuan proactively contacted and voluntarily handed over the individual bird to Thieu Hoa Commune Police for handling according to regulations.
Immediately after receiving it, Thieu Hoa Commune Police coordinated with the Forest Protection Department to conduct inspection, verification and assessment. The assessment results determined that the individual bird belonged to a dangerous, precious, and rare wild animal protected by law.
After completing the procedures according to regulations, the police and forest rangers organized the release of the individual bird back to the natural environment, contributing to biodiversity conservation and protection of the ecosystem.
According to Thanh Hoa Provincial Police, the fact that people proactively hand over wildlife to functional agencies shows the positive effectiveness of propaganda and raising awareness about wildlife protection in the area.
