On June 4, information from Thanh Hoa Provincial Police said that Trung Ly Commune Police had just coordinated with the forest ranger force to receive and hand over a rare bordered mountain turtle voluntarily handed over by people.

Previously, Mr. Ngan Van Duc (residing in Pa Quan village, Trung Ly commune) discovered a turtle individual during labor. Realizing that this could be a rare wild animal, Mr. Duc proactively contacted functional agencies to hand it over.
After receiving information, Trung Ly Commune Police coordinated with Pa Quan Forest Ranger Station to conduct inspection, verification and determined that this is a border mountain turtle individual belonging to the group of endangered, precious, and rare forest animals protected by law.
Functional forces have made a record of receipt, completed procedures according to regulations and handed over the turtle to Pa Quan Forest Protection Station for continued care, management and handling according to regulations.

According to Trung Ly Commune Police, in the past time, the unit has strengthened propaganda and dissemination of legal regulations on protecting wildlife, endangered, precious and rare forest animals to people in the area.
Through this, many people have raised awareness and proactively coordinated with functional agencies in detecting and handing over wild animal individuals to contribute to biodiversity conservation and environmental protection.
