Every household hangs land donation signs
These days, walking along the inter-village road connecting Thuong Do 1 and Thuong Do 2 (Lai Khe commune, Hai Phong city), the easiest to see images are red background signs with prominent white letters hung in front of the gates of many families with the words: "My family voluntarily donates land for the government to build roads".
From the beginning of the village to the end of the hamlet, in front of every house, it is easy to see signs placed in solemn positions. That consensus atmosphere creates a special mark in the local transport infrastructure construction movement.
The inter-village road is about 800m long, passing through a residential area with 97 households living. Because it was built many years ago, the road surface has deteriorated, is narrow, and no longer meets the increasing travel needs of the people. Therefore, the policy of renovating and expanding the road has received positive response from the people.

Ms. Le Thi Que's house in Thuong Do 2 village is located in a beautiful location on the inter-village road. The house gate is spacious, the grounds are carefully cared for. The red sign hanging right in front of the gate stands out in the summer sun as an affirmation of the family's consensus.
For Ms. Que, a few dozen meters of land in front of her house may be very valuable, but a wide, convenient road for the whole community is even more meaningful.
When the village roads are wider, people travel more conveniently, and the rural face is also more spacious. My family is willing to support the project to be implemented soon" - Ms. Que shared.

Sharing the same thought, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Giang in Thuong Do 2 village voluntarily donated about 34m of land length. He is also one of the people who actively participated in pasting banners to propagate and mobilize people.
According to Mr. Giang, in just one afternoon, together with union members and youth in the village, propaganda signs were hung in front of many households. Despite the hot weather, everyone was still enthusiastically participating because everyone wanted the road to be widened soon.
Not only hanging in front of the gate, many families with large facades and long walls also pasted up two red signs, making the message "My family voluntarily donates land for the government to build roads" prominent throughout the inter-village road.

Many households proactively request to have signs posted.
To create consensus among the people, in the past time, Party committees, authorities, mass organizations and Fatherland Front committees in residential areas have implemented many different forms of propaganda.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Thoa - Head of the Front Work Committee of Thuong Do 1 village, is one of the people who actively participates in mobilizing households. Through people's meetings, direct meetings with each family and propaganda on the village's information system, the policy of expanding traffic roads is gradually understood and agreed upon by the people.

According to Ms. Thoa, when people realize the practical benefits of the project for travel, economic development and improving the quality of life, mobilization becomes more convenient. Many households not only agree to donate land but also actively participate in propaganda activities.
Mr. To Van Quyet - Head of Thuong Do 2 village said that before deployment, the village had organized people's meetings and propaganda in many forms to help people understand the local policy.
We propagate through meetings, through the loudspeaker system and directly to each household. When they understand the meaning of the project, people agree very highly" - Mr. Quyet said.

The people's response exceeded the expectations of the mobilization committee. Mr. Ta Van Hien - Head of Thuong Do 1 village, said that many households that have not been issued propaganda signs have proactively requested to receive them to hang in front of their houses.
Some households see that their neighbors have hung signs and immediately come to ask why their houses do not have them yet. They want to express their agreement with the general policy of the locality" - Mr. Hien shared.

The consensus of 97 households on the route is not only shown through the voluntarily donated land meters but also expressed by the spirit of responsibility, community awareness and belief in the development of the homeland.
What the people of Thuong Do 1 and Thuong Do 2 are hoping for at this time is that the project will be implemented soon so that the new, spacious and wide road will quickly become a reality, meeting travel needs and creating motivation for local development in the coming time.
