On January 11, Yen Hoa Ward People's Committee (Hanoi) organized a Conference to inform about the Ring Road 2.5 project sections of Dich Vong New Urban Area - Duong Dinh Nghe street; Vu Pham Ham - Tran Duy Hung; disseminate and receive opinions related to land acquisition, compensation, and resettlement support of the project.
Representatives of more than 300 households located in the site clearance boundary came to the Yen Hoa Ward People's Committee Hall to hear information about the project.
At the conference, many households raised recommendations to local leaders related to compensation, support, and resettlement of projects.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Mai Hoa (resident on Trung Kinh street) proposed that when the state recovers land, it should be returned in residential land to the people; they must live as close as possible so that people can conveniently work and take care of their parents and children.
In addition, the city raises the land compensation price equal to or higher than the market price so that people are not disadvantaged when the state recovers land for project implementation.
Ms. Hoa also proposed that the government create temporary accommodation for people before site clearance.
Ms. Dang Thi Kim Hanh (resident at alley 120 Tran Duy Hung) said that information about the project in this area has been around for decades but has not been implemented, so people's lives are very difficult, and houses are degraded and not repaired.
We strongly agree that the state is implementing the project to serve the community and residents. People in the area want to have a satisfactory compensation policy to hand over land for the project in the first quarter of 2026" - Ms. Hanh said.
In addition, people want to have information about the resettlement area soon, preferably on-site resettlement...
At the conference, Mr. Vu Quang Duong, Vice Chairman of Yen Hoa Ward People's Committee, said that Ring Road 2.5 is a key project of the city, of great significance in completing urban infrastructure, connecting ring road projects. Especially solving the city's bottlenecks in traffic congestion, creating a premise for socio-economic development of the Capital.
According to Mr. Duong, the City People's Committee determined that this is a key task to be implemented in 2026. Through the conference, the ward provided official, complete and public information about the project, avoiding inaccurate information causing confusion for people.
The ward will fully receive feedback, recommendations, and proposals from people, ensuring project implementation in a public and transparent manner, especially ensuring legitimate and lawful rights and interests for the people.
In the process of project implementation, the ward will organize many dialogue conferences to mobilize and propagate, and at the same time wish to receive the companionship of the people so that the project implementation process is smooth.
The implementation can disrupt people's lives, but there are also very favorable conditions, there are mechanisms and policies that many projects before did not have" - Mr. Duong said.
Emphasizing that Ring Road 2.5 is a project that the City Party Committee and the City People's Committee are very interested in, the Vice Chairman of Yen Hoa Ward People's Committee affirmed that he will review and apply mechanisms and policies in practice, ensuring maximum benefits for the people in the implementation process.
