On the morning of January 10, Xuan Dinh Ward People's Committee organized a ground clearance campaign to serve the construction of Ring Road 2.5 project, the section connecting from Xuan Tao to Nguyen Hoang Ton street.
The 582.04m long section has been identified for many years as a "hot spot" in compensation and site clearance. Due to slow project implementation, agricultural land along the route is occupied by some individuals for business, car wash, vehicle parking, garbage collection, causing environmental pollution, urban unsightliness and potential risks of insecurity and disorder.

According to Ms. Mai Thi Kim Dung (Trung 3 residential group, Xuan Dinh ward), people are very excited when the project is resumed. Previously, the area often experienced traffic congestion, garbage was thrown indiscriminately; dusty in the sunny weather, muddy in the rainy weather due to encroachment on roads and sidewalks for trading and parking.

Talking to Lao Dong Newspaper reporters, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Vi - Vice Chairman of Xuan Dinh Ward People's Committee - said that the project's clearance scope is related to 98 cases with a total recovered area of 28,318m2. In which, residential land is 6,877.6m2 of 68 cases; agricultural land is 21,440.4m2 of 29 cases.
Previously, the People's Committee of Bac Tu Liem district (old) issued decisions approving compensation and support plans for 43 cases, with a total area of 20,156.5m2, including 14 cases of using residential land with an area of 995m2 and 29 cases of using agricultural land with an area of 19,161.5m2.

In the process of implementation, Xuan Dinh Ward People's Committee has organized propaganda and direct mobilization of each household. Most households have voluntarily dismantled constructions and handed over land; local authorities supported clearance and ensured the progress of site clearance.
According to Mr. Bui Vu Hiep - Director of the Infrastructure Project Management Board of Xuan Dinh ward, implementing the direction of the Hanoi People's Committee, the ward has coordinated with functional forces to mobilize people to self-dismantle violating works and return the ground for the project. After site clearance, functional forces proceeded to corrugated iron corrugated iron to protect, prevent re-encroachment, and create conditions for construction deployment.

After completing the handover of the site, Xuan Dinh Ward People's Committee will transfer it to the Hanoi City Civil Project Management Board to organize construction immediately. The completed project will contribute to reducing traffic congestion, improving the environment, ensuring security and order and urban embellishment in the area," Mr. Hiep informed.
