Cao Bang - More than 6 months since leaving the bird trap, Mr. Lau Van Khong is still missing.

On December 17, Nguyen Hue Commune Police, Cao Bang Province informed that the unit is coordinating with relevant units and local authorities to organize the search for Mr. Lau Van Khong (born in 1984, residing in Co Pheo hamlet, Nguyen Hue commune), who has been missing since the beginning of June 2025.

According to information from the police, on December 11, Nguyen Hue Commune Police received a report from Mr. Lau Van Hong (born in 2001), Mr. Khong's son, about his father setting a bird trap in the riverside area of Ta Lung town, Phuc Hoa district (now Phuc Hoa commune, Cao Bang province) and lost contact since June 2025.

The family said that after Mr. Khong went missing, his relatives have repeatedly searched for him but have not yet found the results. Up to now, the family has not had any information about his whereabouts.

Mr. Lau Van Khong was born on December 13, 1984, is an agricultural worker, a Vietnamese national, a H'Mong ethnic group, and a member of the Good faith. The identifying characteristic of the missing person is that he is about 1m65 tall, with short black hair; when leaving home, he wears a brown jacket and black pants.

Nguyen Hue Commune Police have sent a notice to PC01 Department of Cao Bang Provincial Police, the police of 55 other communes and wards in the area, and at the same time requested the masses to coordinate in providing information to serve the search.
