According to initial information, at nearly 8:00 p.m. on December 8, some areas in Di An ward, Di An city suddenly lost power.
Immediately afterwards, the electricity workers went to check and determine the cause of the power outage. When the electricity workers arrived at Road 8, Song Than 1 Industrial Park, they were informed by residents that they heard a loud explosion.
An inspection at an abandoned warehouse on Route 8 found the incident occurred at the transformer station there. However, the warehouse was locked and the transformer station was inside.
After contacting security to open the gate to go inside, the electricity staff discovered a man lying dead under the transformer station, the victim's head was injured, suspected to have fallen from a height.
At the scene, authorities discovered a pair of pliers still stuck to the wire. The victim had no identification on him.
Late that night, Di An City Police finished examining the scene, the victim's body was brought back for an autopsy and investigation to clarify the incident.
