On March 31, information from the Party Committee of Ta Phin commune, at about 2:15 am on the same day, Ta Phin Commune Police received a report from people about a man standing next to a motorbike near the Mong Sen bridge railing, in Chu Lin 2 village, showing signs of suicide.
Immediately after that, the Commune Police coordinated with local security forces to urgently be present at the scene, organize to grasp the situation, and at the same time approach, mobilize, and persuade.
However, when someone approached, this man climbed onto the bridge railing, preventing functional forces from approaching.
Through initial verification, this person is a man, H'Mong ethnicity, wearing a black jacket and dark blue pants. At the scene, there is a motorbike with license plate 29P1-014. 43.

Despite being persuaded many times, the man still did not cooperate, did not provide personal information.
At about 2:40 am on the same day, this person suddenly jumped off the bridge railing and went downstairs, dying on the spot.
Identifying characteristics of the victim: about 1.65m tall, average physical condition; left hand tattooed with two carp; left ear wearing black metal earrings, right ear wearing white metal earrings.
Currently, because the identity has not been determined, the victim's body has been preserved at the morgue of General Hospital No. 2 in Lao Cai province.
Ta Phin Commune Police are verifying and clarifying the identity and background to handle according to regulations.
Started in early 2020, Mong Sen bridge is an elevated bridge (not spanning the river) belonging to the project connecting the Noi Bai - Lao Cai expressway to Sa Pa town, aiming to reduce traffic pressure for the arterial route National Highway 4D.
With the head pier of Mong Sen bridge 83m high from the ground, Mong Sen bridge is currently the highest elevated bridge with the highest pier in Vietnam.
Since being put into use, in this case, functional forces have recorded at least 7 cases of jumping off Mong Sen bridge to commit suicide.
