The Ministry of Construction Portal posted a reflection from Dak Lak voters about the inconvenience of passing through the Ho Chi Minh Road BOT toll station (Km1738+148 - Km1763+610), causing waste and inconvenience to officials and people.
The toll station is located right at the foot of the Dutch Pass, posing a potential risk to traffic safety.
Voters requested the Ministry of Construction and relevant ministries and branches to have appropriate solutions to ensure convenience and safety for the people.
After studying, the Ministry of Construction would like to answer as follows:
During the investment implementation phase of the Ho Chi Minh Road Upgrade and Expansion Investment Project, section Km1738+148 - Km1763+610, Dak Lak province under the BOT contract form (abbreviated as the Ho Chi Minh Road BOT project, Dak Lak province).
Before approving the project enterprise to deploy the construction of a Road Toll Station at Km1747+00, the Ministry of Transport (now the Ministry of Construction) had consulted with relevant agencies and local authorities on the location and plan to ensure traffic safety in the area and had been approved and agreed by the agencies.
At the toll station area, the traffic safety system (road signs, road markings painted, speed limiters, lighting, median strips...) has been fully installed by the Project Enterprise, ensuring safety conditions for people and vehicles participating in traffic through the station.
The Ministry of Construction shares the difficulties in traveling of officials and people of Cu Bao ward after the merger of administrative units and will direct the Vietnam Road Administration and project enterprises to strengthen inspection and coordinate to ensure traffic safety for people and vehicles participating in traffic, especially when traveling through toll stations.
