Quang Tri - Heavy trucks move onto Hung Vuong Street under construction to avoid the BOT toll station, causing traffic insecurity.

On November 11, Mr. Tran Ngoc Son - Deputy Director of the Department of Construction of Quang Tri province said that the unit had sent a document to the Provincial People's Committee requesting the placement of a ban on cars over 10 tons and passenger cars over 30 seats on the extended Hung Vuong route (through Nam Dong Ha ward, Quang Tri province).

Currently, the Hung Vuong extended road is under construction, many sections of the road are rough, machinery and workers are still working at the site.

However, in recent days, a series of trucks, containers and passenger cars have been passing through this route to avoid the BOT toll station on National Highway 1, heading towards DT.579 road connecting with Trieu Phong commune or turning onto Dien Bien Phu road to Lao Bao International Border Gate.

DT.579 route passes through a densely populated residential area, narrow roads, limited visibility. In addition, Hung Vuong Street is under construction, near schools and hospitals, posing a high risk of traffic insecurity.

The Hung Vuong extended road project is 2.15km long, an important project connecting the East - West economic corridor. According to the plan, the project was completed on September 30, but due to the impact of prolonged floods, many items have not yet been handed over.
