In recent days, in the Phu Quoc special zone (An Giang), there has also been a situation of localized shortage of textbooks (textbooks) like some other localities in the country.

Proactively contact and exchange with publishing units to grasp the supply and schedule for supplementing missing textbooks. Strive to ensure that no later than August 24, 2026, all students in the area have enough textbooks to serve their studies.
Providing unified and timely information to students and parents about the list of textbooks being used, official distribution locations and the situation of supplementing books of the unit. Absolutely do not require students or parents to buy books at any specific unit.
In addition, review the existing textbook sources at the library to organize for students to borrow and use. Prioritize supporting borrowing books for students in difficult circumstances and cases that have not had time to buy enough books before the opening day. Mobilize students to donate and reuse old books that are still of guaranteed quality to support friends in difficult circumstances.

This year, due to the local shortage of books, she has not been able to buy books, so she has directly asked parents to find places that still sell or register to buy with the school, the cost will be paid back by her and philanthropists.
Ms. Thuy added: "I and philanthropists have supported money to buy books for children in difficult circumstances, because they have not bought them yet on the island, so they asked the mainland to help buy them, the cost is left by us. We also hope to help somewhat so that those in difficult circumstances who do not have books and uniforms have everything to start the new school year.

The owner of a bookstore in the Duong Dong area shared that he has placed an order since the beginning of July but has not received the books yet. The bookstore itself also has to wait for the supplier and cannot resolve it. Many customers contacted and asked, but the bookstore could only apologize because the books were out of stock or not yet available.
