Ho Chi Minh City will offer free bus tickets on all routes on April 30.

This is part of a series of public transport communication events to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025).

The Ho Chi Minh City Public Transport Management Center said that the free bus ticket program applies to all intra-provincial bus routes as well as adjacent inter-provincial bus routes connecting to Ho Chi Minh City.

All passengers using the bus service on April 30 will be exempted from 100% of ticket fees, including those carrying bulky luggage. Even though it is free, passengers will still be given tickets and enjoy full benefits as usual.

The Public Transport Management Center has also requested transport units to organize the full operation of bus routes according to plan, ensuring compliance with the regulations in the contract signed with the Center.

Strictly implement the issuance of tickets to passengers and commit not to collect any fees, including baggage fees exceeding the free regulations.

Fully disseminate to each driver, service staff and all members of the transport unit about the policy of free tickets on April 30. Absolutely do not allow the collection of fares from passengers in any form.
