On the afternoon of May 10, in Muong Phang commune, Dien Bien Provincial People's Committee coordinated with Sun Group to organize the groundbreaking ceremony of the Dien Bien Phu cable car complex project combined with cultural and historical tourism.
According to reporters of Lao Dong Newspaper, on the afternoon of May 10, the weather was rainy, but a large number of people in Muong Phang commune gathered at the groundbreaking ceremony area to follow the program.
On the faces of every resident here, there is clear excitement and expectation for a project that will help improve the lives of the people.



Talking to PV, Mr. Lo Van Thanh (43 years old, Phang 2 village, Muong Phang commune) - said that local people have long been looking forward to a large-scale project to awaken the tourism potential of this historical land.
I am very proud that the first cable car project of the province is being implemented in Muong Phang. With this cable line, more tourists will come. My family is also planning to shift to providing food services to serve tourists" - Mr. Thanh expected.


Also present early at the project groundbreaking ceremony area, Ms. Lo Thi Huong (66 years old, Dong Met village, Muong Phang commune) - said: "At this age, I never thought my hometown would have such a modern project. This is a big festival for people in the revolutionary base area of Muong Phang".
In a quick exchange with PV, Mr. Tran Van Tuan - Chairman of Muong Phang Commune People's Committee said that the Dien Bien Phu cable car complex combined with cultural and historical tourism project is an important milestone for the locality.


According to Mr. Tuan, to prepare for the wave of investment and sustainable tourism development, the commune is implementing agricultural restructuring in the direction of improving the value of typical products, and at the same time orienting vocational training and fostering tourism knowledge for people. In which, focusing on developing homestay models in Che Can and Keo villages.

Speaking at the project groundbreaking ceremony, Mr. Tran Tien Dung - Secretary of Dien Bien Provincial Party Committee requested departments, agencies, and branches of the province to maximize the "green channel" mechanism, promptly remove difficulties and obstacles for investors in accordance with the law.
Relevant units and localities must drastically implement compensation and site clearance work, ensuring the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of the people.
The Dien Bien Phu cable car complex combined with cultural and historical tourism project is invested by Fansipan Sa Pa Cable Car Tourism Service Co., Ltd. (Sun Group Group).
The project has a total area of 35.35 ha, located in 2 communes Muong Phang and Pu Nhi. According to the decision, the total investment capital of the project is 2,076 billion VND.
When put into operation, the project is designed with a service capacity of about 15,000 people/day. The cable car line will connect from the historical relic of General Vo Nguyen Giap's bunker to the relic area of Pu To Co Mountain Observatory.
