Tens of thousands of people gathered at central points in Ca Mau to watch art programs and fireworks to welcome New Year's Eve 2026.

Right from the early evening, the flow of people flocking to the fireworks display points in the province became more and more crowded.

This year, the art program and fireworks display to welcome New Year's Eve are organized at 5 locations, including: An Xuyen ward (old Ca Mau city center area), Bac Lieu ward (old Bac Lieu city center area) and Phuoc Long, Song Doc, Dat Mui communes.

Reporters' records show that in the area of the Provincial Conference Center yard (Le Duan street, hamlet 10, An Xuyen ward) and Hung Vuong Square (hamlet 5, Bac Lieu ward), beautiful observation locations are almost full from very early. Many families and groups of friends take advantage of finding a suitable space to immerse themselves in the bustling atmosphere of New Year's Eve.

In Bac Lieu ward, from about 8 pm, a large number of people gathered to watch the art program celebrating Binh Ngo Spring 2026 with the theme "Spring of solidarity, warm and prosperous Tet, worrying that every family will have Tet". The program was attended by provincial leaders, representatives of departments, agencies, and thousands of local people.

Before the fireworks display, on behalf of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, Chairman of Ca Mau Provincial People's Committee Lu Quang Ngoi read a New Year's greeting letter, sending messages of solidarity, development and belief to enter the new year.

To ensure the program takes place safely, police, military forces and functional units are arranged to be on duty, divert traffic, and maintain security and order in the fireworks display areas.

At exactly 9:30 PM, brilliant fireworks simultaneously lit up the sky of the southernmost land of the Fatherland, in the cheers and excitement of the people. Many people took the opportunity to record meaningful moments, sending wishes for peace and happiness for the new year.

Sharing in the crowd of spring travelers, Ms. Tran Kim Ngoc (30 years old, residing in Bac Lieu ward) said: "Being able to go to the square with my family to watch art performances and watch fireworks on New Year's Eve, I feel very happy and warm. This is a memorable memory to start the new year.
