On February 1st, the National Assembly working delegation visited and presented gifts to union members and workers (ĐV, NLĐ) in Can Tho City on the occasion of Binh Ngo Spring 2026.
Attending were Mr. Le Quang Manh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary General of the National Assembly, Chairman of the National Assembly Office; Ms. Ho Thi Cam Dao - Deputy Secretary of the Can Tho City Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city; representatives of leaders of the People's Council, People's Committee, National Assembly delegation of the city and the Can Tho City Labor Federation.
Mr. Le Quang Manh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary General of the National Assembly, Chairman of the National Assembly Office - emphasized that in 2025, Can Tho City has focused efforts on implementing socio-economic development targets and tasks, achieving many positive and comprehensive results in most fields. From economy, culture - society to national defense, security, internal affairs, and foreign affairs, all have been strengthened, maintaining political stability and social order and safety.
The establishment of the new Can Tho City on the basis of merging Can Tho City and 2 provinces Hau Giang, Soc Trang is an important milestone, opening up breakthrough development opportunities in the future, is a "golden" opportunity for Can Tho to establish a new position.
To achieve these achievements, the active contribution of Trade Union levels and union members and workers in the city plays a very important role.
Accordingly, Mr. Le Quang Manh praised the contributions of Trade Union levels, union members, and workers in the past year 2025. At the same time, he highly appreciated and welcomed the City Trade Union for successfully organizing many Tet care activities for union members and workers, especially the Tet reunion program.
At the program, 100 gifts were presented to union members and workers in difficult circumstances in the city. Each gift included 1 million VND in cash and a gift worth 300,000 VND. Thereby, promptly encouraging union members and workers before the New Year.
