On November 10, the authorities of Xuan Canh commune, Dak Lak province are still verifying and clarifying the incident of a video clip of a coconut tree in the area having its corrugated iron roof broken in the rain and storm.
The person who posted the video is Mr. T.T.D (residing in Xuan Canh commune, Dak Lak province). Mr. D said that the coconut trees being blown away and cut into pairs were real. The incident occurred in Tho Loc village, Xuan Canh commune.
On November 8, when he went to his neighbor's house, he discovered a coconut tree that had been cut down, with traces on the trunk that looked like being carved.
"The corrugated iron roof and coconut trees are still at the scene of the neighbor's house. Storm No. 13 has very strong winds, causing heavy damage to my hometown. I only recorded a video to warn everyone, not to attract views, said Mr. D.
As Lao Dong reported, after storm No. 13, a social media account posted a 27-second video recording the image of a cut coconut tree (in Xuan Canh commune).
According to the clip, the cut on the coconut body has wavy lines, looking like a corrugated iron edge. Currently, local authorities are verifying the information to clarify the truth of the incident.
