The Ministry of Agriculture and Environment has just issued a telegram on responding to storms in the East Sea. The dispatch was sent to the People's Committees of coastal provinces and cities from Quang Ninh to Dak Lak and related ministries and branches, stating:
Early on November 10, Typhoon Fung-wong entered the northeastern sea of the East Sea, becoming the 14th typhoon of 2025.
At 4:00 a.m., the center of the storm was at about 17.3 degrees north latitude; 119.3 degrees east longitude, the strongest wind near the center of the storm was level 13, gusting to level 16. The storm is moving west-northwest at a speed of about 25km/h.
Due to the influence of the storm, the northeastern sea of the East Sea will have strong winds of level 8-10, near the center of the storm level 11-13, gusts of level 16, waves 5.0 right to right, near the center of the storm 8.0-10.0m. The sea is rough.
To proactively respond, the National Steering Committee for Civil Defense requires ministries, branches and coastal localities from Quang Ninh to Dak Lak:
Closely monitor storm developments; control means of transport going out to sea; Organize counting, promptly notify ships operating at sea of the location, direction of movement and storm developments to proactively avoid; guide ships to escape or not move into dangerous areas. Dangerous area in the next 24 hours: from latitude 15.021.0 degrees north; east of longitude 116.0 degrees east (can be adjusted according to forecasts).
Prepare rescue forces and means when required.
The dispatch was sent to 13 provinces and cities: Quang Ninh, Hai Phong, Hung Yen, Ninh Binh, Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Tri, Hue City, Da Nang, Quang Ngai, Gia Lai, Dak Lak.
