On February 13th (December 26th of Tet), workers in the North of Ho Chi Minh City (formerly Binh Duong province) began to enter a long Tet holiday. Many workers used motorbikes as a means of transportation to return to their hometowns in the Mekong Delta provinces.
Recording the traffic situation in the northern area of Ho Chi Minh City, from about 6 pm, motorbikes began to pour towards Huynh Van Cu street to cross Phu Cuong bridge and move to Binh My commune, Ho Chi Minh City.
Due to the large number of vehicles pouring in at the same time, by the evening of the same day, Huynh Van Cu street began to be congested for a long time. Thousands of vehicles lined up moving slowly.

At the Phu Cuong bridge toll station (Thu Dau Mot ward, Ho Chi Minh City), the volume of vehicles pouring in is too large, and the toll station is located right at the beginning of the bridge, so traffic is affected. The flow of cars and motorbikes is moving little by little.
On the side of Binh My commune, Ho Chi Minh City, the road is narrow, so traffic is also congested for a long time. Until 7:30 pm on the same day, vehicles were still moving slowly.
Currently, functional forces at both ends of Phu Cuong bridge are making efforts to regulate traffic and guide vehicles to move.
