Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoa (39 years old, from Quang Binh) currently works in An Giang, and is returning to her hometown to celebrate Tet with her husband and two children. When she got off the train at Dong Hoi station, she could not hide her joy and emotion.
"Although I have lived away from home for many years, every time I return to Quang Binh, I still feel a strange sense of familiarity and closeness. From the friendly greetings of the people to the unique flavors of my hometown" - Ms. Hoa shared.
Tet holidays in her hometown are not only a time to rest but also a time for Ms. Hoa to bond with her family, sharing stories and memories after a year away. "I hope my children will also understand more about their homeland and roots through each return like this" - Ms. Hoa confided.
The joy of reunion
On the train to Dong Hoi station, Ms. Ngoc Thao (born in 1983, from Nha Trang, Khanh Hoa) shared her joy when returning to her husband's house in Quang Binh to celebrate Tet with her two young children.
"I have celebrated Tet many times in my husband's hometown, but this year still feels special. Returning with my two young children this time, I hope they can feel the traditional Tet atmosphere and family ties," Ms. Thao shared.
Despite having to go through a long train journey with many hours of traveling with her two children, Ms. Thao still felt happy and joyful. She said: "Although I was tired, my husband's encouragement and the excitement of being with his family made all my tiredness disappear."
Tet in her husband's hometown brought Thao special experiences. "My husband's hometown has many specialties and unique customs that I always look forward to every Tet. The most important thing is the warm atmosphere and family affection in the first days of the new year" - Thao shared with a bright smile.
Ms. Thao also hopes that through trips back to her hometown like this, her two children will understand more about the culture and traditions of the family. She hopes that her children will always remember these emotional Tet holidays, so that when they grow up, they will also preserve and cherish family values.
