On the night of July 6 and early morning of July 7, many workers along with machinery and equipment were mobilized to carry out the repair of the expansion joints and bridge deck on the Hanoi Ring Road 3 Expressway (phase 4 - from Nguyen Trai intersection to Thang Long Avenue).
To serve the construction, the Hanoi Department of Construction banned all vehicles from circulating on the section from Nguyen Trai to Thang Long Avenue from 10pm to 6am the next morning.
From 6am to 10pm, the construction unit conducted fences on half of the road surface at locations that needed to be repaired, vehicles were traveling on the remaining half of the road surface.

Speaking to Lao Dong Newspaper reporter, Mr. Vu Duc Man - technical officer of 135 Construction Joint Stock Company said that in phase 4, the contractor will carry out the repair of 9 expansion joints and the bridge deck from the location of joints 168 to 204.
Currently, the contractor is arranging 4 construction teams, working day and night to speed up the progress.
Phase 4 started on June 20, and is expected to be completed on July 21, 2025, Mr. Man informed.
Regarding the difficulties encountered, Mr. Man said that the elevated Ring Road 3 is a route with a very high density of traffic, along with unfavorable weather that greatly affects construction activities.
"We take advantage of the most favorable weather times, especially at night, mobilizing many personnel to speed up the construction progress, compensating for the slow workload due to bad weather" - Mr. Man said.

Sharing with Lao Dong, Mr. Nguyen The Tuan - a worker at Company 135 said that during the construction process of the previous three phases, the erratic weather caused many difficulties for workers during the construction process.
"Although it is difficult, the brothers still try to work overtime, focusing on construction at night to complete the repair of the expansion joints and the bridge deck to ensure progress" - Mr. Tuan said.

A representative of the Traffic Infrastructure Maintenance Board (Hanoi Department of Construction) said that the construction barrier causes many difficulties and inconveniences for traffic in the area. Therefore, people are advised to proactively choose a suitable route, avoid congestion, and shorten travel time.
"After completing phase 4, we will continue to implement phases 5 and 6 (from Nguyen Trai to Phap Van and vice versa). It is expected that by September 2025, all repairs to the expansion joints and bridge deck on the elevated Ring Road 3 will be completed, the road surface will be returned, and traffic will be smooth again," said a representative of the Maintenance Board.
