On December 5, the information page of Trung Loc commune, Nghe An province posted a notice apologizing to the people after the incident with the loudspeaker system broadcast in the early morning of the same day.
Representatives of the Department of Culture - Social Affairs and the Management Board of the commune radio station said that they had cut off the signal as soon as the error was discovered.
The transmission system management unit stated that it was very regrettable for the inconvenience caused to the people, and affirmed its responsibility in ensuring a stable operating system, without affecting community activities.
According to Mr. Nguyen Tien Dung, Head of the Department of Culture and Society of Trung Loc commune, the loudspeaker system was damaged after storm Bualoi at the end of September. During the repair and resumption of operations, the technical department mistakenly installed an automatic broadcast time, leading to the broadcast of the national radio program at 3:15 am.
This is an unexpected incident but we accept responsibility. Fortunately, people sympathize and share, said Mr. Dung.
The incident caused many humorous stories. Some people thought it was early in the morning so they woke up to cook rice, feed the cattle or go to get goods and then... went back to sleep when they discovered the clock was no more than 3am.
Trung Loc commune said it will review the entire operating process and completely fix technical errors to avoid repeating similar incidents.
