Strong growth in international visitors
According to the Khanh Hoa Tourism industry, in the first 8 months of 2026, the whole province is estimated to welcome more than 18 million visitors, an increase of nearly 40% compared to the same period last year. Of which, international visitors reached more than 6.3 million, an increase of more than 67.9%. Total tourism revenue is estimated to reach more than 60.893 billion VND, an increase of nearly 19.2% compared to the same period.
Notably, the Russian tourist market and countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) continued to grow strongly, reaching more than 1 million visitors in 8 months, 2.5 times higher than the same period last year.
At the same time, Khanh Hoa welcomed 38 international cruise ships with more than 60,463 tourists ashore to visit. It is expected that in the last 4 months of the year, the province will welcome 24 more international cruise ships.

With the current growth results, Khanh Hoa's tourism industry believes that the province can welcome about 20 million visitors for sightseeing and resorts in 2026.
To maintain the growth momentum, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Khanh Hoa province has developed a plan to develop unique tourism products; a plan to implement the Project on nighttime economic development for the period 2026 - 2030 and is completing the Project to pilot 4 community tourism models.
The Tourism industry also strengthens promotion, advertising, and market development at home and abroad. Digital transformation is promoted through the construction of the Khanh Hoa Provincial Digital Tourism Platform.
To date, the whole province has completed 33/42 tasks according to the 2026 Action Plan and 5/14 key tasks for 2026 of the Provincial Tourism Development Strategy Plan.
Focus on removing bottlenecks
In the coming time, Khanh Hoa Tourism industry will continue to effectively organize the implementation of policies and plans on tourism development; focus on market development, promotion, advertising and attracting tourists; accelerate the development of tourism products, promote digital transformation, improve service quality and strengthen state management of tourism.
One of the identified tasks is to focus on removing bottlenecks in infrastructure and resources, creating conditions for the tourism industry to develop sustainably.
Standing Vice Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Long Bien requested members of the Steering Committee to improve their sense of responsibility, stick to the set goals to direct effective implementation.

Mr. Nguyen Long Bien assigned the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to urgently establish a consulting group to deploy the province's tourism strategy in a synchronous and substantive manner; chair and coordinate the organization of thematic seminars on Halal tourism and cruise tourism.
The Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also requested to promote investment, upgrade and supplement seaport infrastructure and tourist wharves to create maximum convenience for welcoming international tourists and organizing sea and island tours.
Localities are required to proactively and effectively implement community tourism models; quickly concretize nighttime economic development plans, and clearly define the location of night streets.
The Department of Finance is assigned to take the lead in developing a project to investigate the spending level of tourists to Khanh Hoa.
The Provincial Tourism Promotion Center and Association continue to promote their core role in regional connection, innovating promotion and propaganda work to attract tourists in the coming time.
