On June 9, the leader of the Department of Construction of Quang Tri province said that when Quang Tri province merged with Quang Binh province, it is expected that 1,194 cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers (CCVCNLD) of the province will move to work in Quang Binh province and have a need to arrange public housing.
Previously, the Department of Construction of Quang Tri and Quang Binh provinces conducted a field survey of real estate facilities in Dong Hoi city (Quang Binh province) to serve the demand for public housing. The results show that there are currently 11 facilities qualified for arrangement, of which 3 facilities basically meet 137 rooms, the remaining 8 facilities need to be renovated to have an additional 528 rooms.
The total current demand for public housing is 1,194 people, while there are only 665 public rooms, which is not enough to meet the demand. Therefore, the Department of Construction of Quang Tri recommends that the Provincial People's Committee report to the Steering Committee for the merger of the two provinces to agree on a plan for each move in stages, to ensure stable life and education for children of civil servants.
In case it is difficult to arrange a suitable public housing unit, the Department proposes to have a financial support policy for staff to choose the appropriate rental form. At the same time, he requested the People's Committee of Quang Binh province to speed up the renovation of surplus facilities and urgently direct the construction of social housing, control speculation, and increase rental prices.
The Department also proposed that the Government allow localities to contribute to the budget for building social housing and implementing policies for leasing, purchase and sale to civil servants in need at the new administrative center.
It is known that in the near future, Quang Tri province will merge with Quang Binh province, named Quang Tri province, with the administrative center located in the current Quang Binh province.
