Through the survey, many people expressed their desire to be arranged with public housing, or have policies to support loans with installments and rentals to stabilize their lives.
According to information from the Department of Construction of Quang Nam province, up to now, there are about 2,000 cadres, civil servants and public employees of the province who want to rent or buy houses in Da Nang city after the merger. In particular, a significant number of people are requesting to be allocated public housing due to financial conditions that do not allow buying or renting a house at high costs.
In addition to the demand for public housing, many officials also recommend having a policy to support installment loans when buying social housing, or support house rental during the waiting period for stability, said Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tam - Director of the Quang Nam Department of Construction.
According to the Department of Construction, this is a practical and urgent need, related to the long life of the staff after the merger. This unit is continuing to coordinate with relevant departments and branches to carefully review the list, classify specific needs, and serve as a basis for advising on support policies.

Previously, at the 31st session of the Quang Nam Provincial People's Council (May 26), Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Van Dung emphasized the need to review and add housing support policies for cadres and civil servants to the Project on reorganizing provincial-level administrative units, in order to create conditions for cadres to work with peace of mind at the new administrative center.
At the same time, the Quang Nam Department of Home Affairs also deployed a survey of wishes, workplaces and housing support needs for cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers in the first phase of the merger.
On the central side, on April 25, the National Assembly Standing Committee discussed the draft Resolution on piloting specific policies for social housing development. Many opinions suggested adding regulations to allow state agencies to rent social housing to arrange for civil servants, especially in localities implementing administrative mergers such as Quang Nam - Da Nang.
