According to the latest information from the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET), the virtual filtering process for admission in 2025 (after 10 times) will end at 12:30 today, August 22.
After that, universities and academies will enter the admission scores and admission results into the system. This means that schools are allowed to announce their admission scores right from that time. According to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training, the announcement of the first round of admission results in 2025 will be done before 5:00 p.m. on August 22.
To ensure accurate, fair and objective admission results, the Ministry of Education and Training has recommended that schools focus on carefully reviewing all data, admission methods, and situations in the context of many candidate data being used for admission. This is to ensure that there are no missed or selected admission cases; limit the occurrence of handling errors in the admission process.
At the same time, the Ministry requires schools to carefully calculate options and propose appropriate virtual rates to avoid creating a large virtual quantity, affecting the enrollment of other schools as well as enrolling students exceeding their school's targets and training capacity.
According to the plan, after knowing the benchmark scores, the successful candidates will confirm their first round of online admission on the system before 5:00 p.m. on August 30.
To look up the benchmark university and college scores in 2025, candidates can do it in 3 ways:
Method 1: Look up the 2025 university admission scores on Lao Dong Newspaper HERE
Method 2: Look up on the System of the Ministry of Education and Training according to the following steps:

Access the website https://thisinh.thitotnghiepthpt.edu.vn.
Log in with CMND/CCCD number and login code.
enter "Search" and select "Search for admission results".
The system will display the "Slip" or "Slip" result for each wish.
Method 3: Look up on the websites of universities and colleges:
Access the website of your school to register for admission.
Search for "Search for admission scores" or "Search for admission results".
Enter necessary information (for example: registration number, full name, date of birth) for lookup.
According to statistics from the Ministry of Education and Training, in 2025, nearly 850,000 candidates will register for university and college admissions with a total of more than 7.6 million wishes. This is a significant increase, both in the number of registered candidates and the number of wishes, and is also the highest number in the past 5 years. On average, each candidate registered about 9 wishes.
According to university representatives, eliminating early admission has caused candidates this year to lose their initial support, leading to the mentality of "registering more to be safer".
In 2025, the common scores for high school graduation exams will decrease sharply compared to 2024, many universities have lowered their floor scores by 1-4 points, even some majors have reduced them by 6 points.
However, according to many experts, this is just a score to receive an entrance exam. At many schools, the number of applications has increased dramatically, so the expected benchmark scores are still fluctuating.
In 2025, the total number of candidates enrolled in the National Economics University will increase by about 25% compared to 2024.
Similarly, at the Banking Academy, the number of candidates applying for the Banking Academy increased by 126% compared to 2024, of which one-third of candidates have international certificates.
MSc. Nguyen Quang Trung - Deputy Head of the Communications and Admissions Department of the University of Commerce informed that the number of applications to the University of Commerce increased by 1.5 times compared to 2024, so the school predicted that the benchmark score could be higher than initially expected.
At the University of Education, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, in 2024, the rate of admission according to wishes will be 1/22; by 2025, the rate of admission according to wishes will increase to 1/30, especially in a major with a record of 1/200 candidates competing for a place. It is expected that the standard score for the pedagogical major this year will remain high.
