The whole city has moderate rain, heavy rain, to very heavy rain.
At 7:00 PM on August 22, the storm center was located at about 21.0 degrees North latitude; 108 degrees East longitude, over the sea area of Quang Ninh-Hai Phong, about 110 km east of Quang Ninh, about 140 km east-northeast of Hai Phong, about 110 km north of Bach Long Vi special zone. The strongest wind near the storm center is strong at level 8 (62-74 km/h), gusting at level 10. Moving in the South-Southwest direction, speed 3-5 km/h.
From the evening of August 22nd to the end of August 24th, Hai Phong city will have moderate rain, heavy rain, in some places very heavy rain and thunderstorms. Common rainfall is 100-250 mm, locally over 250 mm. In thunderstorms, it is necessary to prevent tornadoes, lightning, and strong gusts of wind.
Common rainfall in the following areas: Bach Long Vi special zone, Cat Hai special zone - Lan Ha Bay, Hon Dau island, Nam Do Son ward, Do Son ward, inland areas in the Northeast and Southeast (including forecast points: Thuy Nguyen, Le Chan, Hai An, Duong Kinh, An Duong, An Lao, Kien An, Tien Lang, Vinh Bao) with common rainfall of 150-250 mm, locally over 250 mm.
The inland area in the Northwest and Southwest (including forecast points: Hai Duong, Chi Linh, Thanh Ha, Kim Thanh, Ninh Giang, Thanh Mien, Cam Giang, Kinh Mon and Tu Ky) with common rainfall of 100-200 mm, locally over 200 mm. Rain developments are forecast to likely last after the night of August 24.
