Spreading economic models
After 5 years of working in Japan under the labor export program, Mr. Hoang Trung Hieu (in Ea Rieng commune) returned to his hometown with life experience, experience and production thinking accumulated during his time working abroad.
Not only did he have initial capital, but this period also helped him broaden his knowledge and change his way of thinking and working in economic development.

Returning to his locality, instead of looking for work elsewhere, Mr. Hieu decided to start a business right in his hometown. Realizing that the lives of Ea Rieng people mainly depend on agricultural production, he sought a suitable model that could promote land advantages and bring stable income.
Through research, he learned about the melon growing model in Gia Lai and realized that this is a potential direction. After researching techniques and learning from experience, he boldly brought melon trees to plant in the locality.
Initially, he invested in experimental planting of 3 sao of cantaloupe. Thanks to applying appropriate production processes and methodical care, the model initially showed positive results, bringing in an income of about 80 million VND per crop after deducting expenses.

The years of going to work abroad have helped me learn a lot and gain more knowledge about doing business. When I return to Vietnam, I want to find a new direction for myself to develop right in my hometown," Mr. Hieu shared.
From the initial effectiveness, Mr. Hieu's melon growing model has attracted the attention of many people in the commune. Many households came to visit, learn techniques and learn experiences to develop production towards commodity.
Not stopping at farming, he gradually built the Hieu Linh cantaloupe brand. The product has been recognized as meeting 3-star OCOP standards, contributing to increasing value and expanding the consumption market.
In addition to developing the melon model, he also trades in pesticides, both meeting the production needs of the people and accumulating more knowledge in the field of agriculture.

According to Mr. Hieu, the startup journey in his hometown still faces many difficulties in terms of technology, consumption market and investment capital. However, with the spirit of learning, perseverance and determination, the model is gradually affirming its effectiveness.
Mr. Hoang Trung Hieu's model not only helps his family increase income but also creates more direction for economic development for local people, contributing to crop restructuring and building increasingly developed rural areas.
Many exemplary examples
Along with typical examples in economic development, the patriotic emulation movement in Ea Rieng commune also recorded many dedicated and responsible officials in their work.
In which, Ms. Ngo Thi Duoc - Deputy Head of the Party Building Committee of Ea Rieng commune is a typical example commended in 2026.

In addition, she actively participates in organizing many activities to care for the spiritual life of officials, union members and the community such as giving Mid-Autumn gifts to children at agencies and sister villages; organizing activities during the Lunar New Year; seminars on International Women's Day March 8th and Vietnamese Women's Day October 20th.
Not only completing assigned tasks well, Ms. Duoc also actively participates in union activities and emulation movements launched by agencies and localities; always upholds the awareness of preserving a green, clean, and beautiful working environment.
Throughout her work process, she always maintained the qualities and ethics of a cadre and party member; strictly complied with Party regulations, actively studied and followed Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics, and style; promoted the spirit of responsibility, thrift, solidarity and readiness to support comrades and colleagues.
According to the assessment of the People's Committee of Ea Rieng commune, the practical actions of Mr. Hoang Trung Hieu and Ms. Ngo Thi Duoc before and now are vivid proof of the patriotic emulation spirit in Ea Rieng commune.
Although operating in different fields, they all have in common the will to rise up, the spirit of responsibility to the community, contributing to building an increasingly developed locality, improving people's lives and maintaining security and order in the area.
