At around 3:00 p.m. the same day, at km153+500 of National Highway 21, Nam Van Bridge, Nam Dinh, a self-inflicted collision occurred when Ms. N.T.D (61 years old, residing in Ba Dinh District, Hanoi) drove a 7-seat car with license plate 30G-15667 in the direction of Cau Voi to Nam Dinh City, carrying her child, husband and several other people; including 2 children.
As a result, 7 people died at the scene; 2 people are being treated at the hospital.
On the same day, the Ministry of Public Security directed professional units and Nam Dinh Provincial Police to urgently coordinate with functional units to organize rescue work, investigate and resolve the traffic accident; organize visits, encourage and support the families of the victims and stabilize security and order in the area.
Another accident was recorded on January 30 (the second day of Tet) in Thu Dau Mot city, Binh Duong province.
Accordingly, at about 9:30 p.m. the same day, on National Highway 13, through Suoi Giua toll station in Dinh Hoa ward, Thu Dau Mot city, Binh Duong province, a serious traffic accident occurred.
Initial information, at the above time, the sleeper bus was traveling from Ho Chi Minh City to Binh Duong. When it had just passed the Suoi Giua toll station and reached the intersection with Nguyen Chi Thanh Street, an accident occurred with an electric bicycle. The consequence was that a girl around 15-17 years old died on the spot.
Previously, on the night of January 29 (the first day of Tet), in Kinh Mon town and Tu Ky district, Hai Duong, there were 2 serious traffic accidents that killed 2 people.
The first incident occurred at 10 p.m. the same day, the victim was Mr. N.T.K (31 years old, in Le Ninh commune, Kinh Mon). According to information, Mr. K was riding a motorbike, when he reached the culvert area adjacent to DH08 road and provincial road 389 in Xa Son village, he crashed into the warehouse wall of Mr. P.V.D.'s family in Quang Thanh commune.
Mr. K died at the scene. The preliminary cause was that Mr. K lost control of his speed while driving, causing the accident.
The second incident occurred at 10:13 p.m. on January 29, on Provincial Road 391 in Lac Phuong Commune (Tu Ky). Mr. N.V.D. (19 years old, in Van To Commune, Tu Ky) was riding motorbike 34AS-001.41 from Hai Duong to Quy Cao; when he reached Lac Phuong Commune, he collided with a motorbike without a license plate driven by Mr. L.Q.T. (23 years old, in Tien Dong Commune, Tu Ky) going in the opposite direction and turning left onto the road.
The accident caused Mr. D to die on the way to the emergency room, and Mr. T was injured and was treated at Vinh Bao District General Hospital (Hai Phong). The preliminary cause was that Mr. T changed direction unsafely, leading to the traffic accident.
